Happy Birthday to Josh

Happy birthday to my best friend, husband, and the father of my child!

We celebrated Josh's birthday yesterday with a trip to the new Matt's location in Lakewood (and we are going to have more of a celebration next weekend when my Mom is in town to babysit).

It was Ava's first trip, and she really wanted some of our Bob Armstrong dip. Maybe next time, baby girl.

And speaking of Ava, I think she looks so much like Josh...

And I'm glad she does, because I happen to think he is pretty darn cute :).

He was adorable as a little kid...

And was even cute with frosted tips in high school...

And a Jersey Shore hairdo in college...

Ha! Sorry, I couldn't help but post those.

Happy Birthday, my love!

  1. WOW She does!! Josh has the most perfectly rounded up smile. The picture of him in I am guessing elementary/junior high - Could it curve up any more symmetrically?!

    Happy Birthday, Josh!!!

    Hope y'all had fun!

About Me

My name is Catherine, but most of my friends call me Cat. I was born and raised in Austin, went to TCU, and ended up in Dallas for law school (where Josh and I met). I decided that being an attorney was not my cup of tea and pursued a career in legal marketing instead. I am now a mother of two attempting to balance family with a full-time job, which is always an adventure. I love: my sweet babies, handsome husband, very large family, and fabulous friends; trying new restaurants; wine; TCU football; holidays; cooking; The Bar Method; pajamas; La Croix; reading; coffee; podcasts; Central Market; carbs; the beach; mani/pedis; Anthropologie; binge-worthy TV shows; trivia; French 75s; Pinterest; cheese boards; The Ticket; dancing; Sprinkles cupcakes; The Texas Rangers; fresh flowers; thunderstorms; naps; Tex-Mex; the Texas Hill Country; porch-sitting; ranch dressing; throwing parties; and my job. I hate: working-mom guilt; snakes; heights; waking up early; ignorant people; stomach bugs; paper cuts; green fruit; snoring; bad hair days; the sound of people eating (Misophonia); scary movies; bad drivers; pulpy OJ; trimming baby fingernails; and Miracle Whip. I think that about sums it up.
