An Interview with Ava | Three

I meant to do this closer to her third birthday, but the plan is to videotape Ava answering these same questions every year while she sits on her bed. I think it will be so fun to see how both Ava's answers and her room change over time.

1. How old are you?

Three.

2. What is your favorite color?

Pink and purple.

3. What is your favorite food?

Broccoli, syrup, and waffles. {Most random list ever. I'm shocked she didn't say squeezies and bars.}

4. What is your least favorite food?

Ketchup, chicken, and waffles. {Again…so random. And she loves all these things. If I had to pick her least favorite foods, they would be carrots and blueberries.}

5. What is your favorite treat?

Chocolate.

6. Who is your best friend?

Keeley and Bianca.

7. What is your favorite TV show?

Doc McStuffins. {Dora, Sophia the First, and Jake and the Neverland Pirates are also favorites.}

8. What is your favorite movie?

Ariel (The Little Mermaid)

9. What is your favorite book?

If You Give a Pig a Pancake. {She totally just grabbed the first book she saw during this interview. Some current favorites include Dragons Love Tacos, The Book with No Pictures, and Wolfie the Bunny.}

10. What is your favorite thing to do with Mom?

Play.

11. What is your favorite thing to do with Dad?

Play.

12. What is your favorite thing to do with Rylan?

Play.

13. What is your favorite song?

Disney Junior. {Ha. Some of her current jams are Let It Go, Safe and Sound, Seize the Day, and Wake Me Up.}

14. What are you really good at?

Puzzles.

15. What is your favorite holiday?

Christmas.

16. What is your favorite place to visit?

Meet friends.

17. What is your favorite sport?

Baseball.

18. What is your favorite thing to learn at school?

Play with my friends. And Disney Junior. {I love that Disney Junior is evidently a subject at school.}

19. If you could have one wish, what would you wish for?

A flower.

20. What do you want to be when you grow up?

A kitty cat.

Here is the video. I love her sweet little voice, and the hiccups just add to the cuteness.

About Me

My name is Catherine, but most of my friends call me Cat. I was born and raised in Austin, went to TCU, and ended up in Dallas for law school (where Josh and I met). I decided that being an attorney was not my cup of tea and pursued a career in legal marketing. I am now a mother of two attempting to balance family with a full-time job, which is always an adventure. I love: my sweet babies, handsome husband, very large family, and fabulous friends; trying new restaurants; wine; TCU football; holidays; cooking; The Bar Method; pajamas; Topo Chico; reading; coffee; Central Market; carbs; the beach; mani/pedis; Anthropologie; binge-worthy TV shows and podcasts; trivia; French 75s; Pinterest; cheese boards; The Ticket; dancing; Sprinkles cupcakes; The Texas Rangers; fresh flowers; thunderstorms; naps; Tex-Mex; the Texas Hill Country; porch-sitting; ranch dressing; throwing parties; and my job. I hate: working-mom guilt; snakes; heights; waking up early; ignorant people; stomach bugs; paper cuts; green fruit; snoring; bad hair days; the sound of people eating (Misophonia); scary movies; bad drivers; pulpy OJ; trimming baby fingernails; and Miracle Whip. That pretty much sums it up.
