In early January, we hosted a sweet little baby shower for Hannah and Baby Hailey. I absolutely love throwing parties, and hosting a baby shower for my little sister made my heart so very happy.
We had discussed the idea of a Southwestern/Marfa-Chic theme, and as soon as we found this invitation on Etsy, it was a done deal. I'm obsessed with the floral/cactus combo.
Sarabeth did such an amazing job replicating the look with the flowers/cacti!
For some additional decor, I painted wooden Hailey letters for the fireplace mantel.
She also set up a cute guessing game (which Ava won!).
One of my favorite things to do for baby showers is to pick out a children's book that goes with the theme of the party and have that serve as the guest book.
As soon as I saw this Frida Kahlo and her Animalitos book, I knew it was the winner. (Hannah loves her some Frida!). And the cactus pen, also found at Whole Earth, was the perfect addition.
We had some delicious appetizers on hand from Chuy's.
As well as one of Spread & Co.'s unbelievable cheese boards.
For the booze, we made prickly pear margaritas and white wine sangria. Just because the mommy-to-be can't drink doesn't mean the rest of us should suffer :).
And of course we had to have cookies from Hayley Cakes & Cookies. They turned out just as beautiful as I had imagined...and were also delicious as always.
We lucked out with the weather in January and were able to utilize the patio for the party.
We set up the headband/bow making station outside, which was super easy thanks to Etsy.
With everything ready to go, it was time for the guests to arrive. So many of Hannah's friends and family members joined the fun.
Ava and Adlee felt like such big girls getting to attend the shower, and were already so in love with their new cousin.
We made lots of fun bows and headbands for Hailey.
Hannah received so many adorable gifts.
Dad even joined the shower for a moment when Hannah opened his gift.
He picked it out all by himself :).
It was such a wonderful day, and Hannah and Hailey were showered with so much love.
Also, we can't be trusted to take a nice photo. #sisters
