Fourth Anniversary

Four years ago, on a beautiful fall day just like today, Josh and I said "I Do" in a small chapel in Austin surrounded by our family and friends.

I love him more and more each day, and the last year has definitely been the most exciting one for us yet.

We celebrated this year with dinner at Del Frisco's Grille last Saturday when my Mom was in town to babysit Ava. I really liked the restaurant, and the appetizers and cocktails were definitely the best part.

Cheesesteak Egg Rolls + "The VIP" cocktail = delicious!

Look how dapper my lovely husband looked :).

While the fourth anniversary is not usually a very significant anniversary, it is to me. This is because the number four has always been my lucky number. It all started because I was born on June 4, but the craziest thing is that Josh was my fourth boyfriend...and they all went by names with four letters.

When we picked our wedding date, there were a few days available that fall. And we went with October 4...obviously. So, I knew we were getting married on the fourth, which was cool. But what was even cooler, was when we realized that we got married exactly four years and four days after the day we first met. Spooky!

In honor of the special day, here are some of my favorite pictures of me and the hubs from the last eight years...

(While the picture above is not the best, it is our very first picture together.)

And it is definitely true what they say...you fall in love with your husband even more once you see how wonderful he is with your baby.

I love you with all my heart. And so does our sweet baby girl.

About Me

My name is Catherine, but most of my friends call me Cat. I was born and raised in Austin, went to TCU, and ended up in Dallas for law school (where Josh and I met). I decided that being an attorney was not my cup of tea and pursued a career in legal marketing. I am now a mother of two attempting to balance family with a full-time job, which is always an adventure. I love: my sweet babies, handsome husband, very large family, and fabulous friends; trying new restaurants; wine; TCU football; holidays; cooking; The Bar Method; pajamas; Topo Chico; reading; coffee; Central Market; carbs; the beach; mani/pedis; Anthropologie; binge-worthy TV shows and podcasts; trivia; French 75s; Pinterest; cheese boards; The Ticket; dancing; Sprinkles cupcakes; The Texas Rangers; fresh flowers; thunderstorms; naps; Tex-Mex; the Texas Hill Country; porch-sitting; ranch dressing; throwing parties; and my job. I hate: working-mom guilt; snakes; heights; waking up early; ignorant people; stomach bugs; paper cuts; green fruit; snoring; bad hair days; the sound of people eating (Misophonia); scary movies; bad drivers; pulpy OJ; trimming baby fingernails; and Miracle Whip. That pretty much sums it up.
