Favorite Things: Green Toys

I would obviously love any toy that strikes Ava's fancy (and allows me to go to the bathroom in peace, eat a few uninterrupted bites of food, etc.), but toys that are Ava-approved as well as environmentally friendly, BPA-free, made in the USA, and reasonably priced are even better. Which is exactly why I was so excited to discover Green Toys

My Mom bought the Stacking Cups for Ava on a whim during a shopping trip at Whole Food's.

Once I realized how much Ava liked them, I looked into the company. I soon discovered that, among other good attributes, all Green Toys are made from recycled plastic milk cartons right here in the good ole USA (and thus are subject to higher safety standards).

According to the company website, every pound of recycled milk jugs used in the making of Green Toys saves enough electricity to power a laptop for a month. How cool is that?!

I think someone may be getting the pink race car for her birthday :).

About Me

My name is Catherine, but most of my friends call me Cat. I was born and raised in Austin, went to TCU, and ended up in Dallas for law school (where Josh and I met). I decided that being an attorney was not my cup of tea and pursued a career in legal marketing instead. I am now a mother of two attempting to balance family with a full-time job, which is always an adventure. I love: my sweet babies, handsome husband, very large family, and fabulous friends; trying new restaurants; wine; TCU football; holidays; cooking; The Bar Method; pajamas; La Croix; reading; coffee; podcasts; Central Market; carbs; the beach; mani/pedis; Anthropologie; binge-worthy TV shows; trivia; French 75s; Pinterest; cheese boards; The Ticket; dancing; Sprinkles cupcakes; The Texas Rangers; fresh flowers; thunderstorms; naps; Tex-Mex; the Texas Hill Country; porch-sitting; ranch dressing; throwing parties; and my job. I hate: working-mom guilt; snakes; heights; waking up early; ignorant people; stomach bugs; paper cuts; green fruit; snoring; bad hair days; the sound of people eating (Misophonia); scary movies; bad drivers; pulpy OJ; trimming baby fingernails; and Miracle Whip. I think that about sums it up.
